- Guangzhou is not a usual destination for tourists. I realized many tourists missed a lot with this presumption.

- I taught primary school children (9-13) in Nanhai, a little town just outside of Guangzhou, for 15 days this summer. I stayed on campus during the day, and explored at night.

- Guangzhou was an hours train ride fron Hong Kong and was a relaxing step down from the frenzy of HK. An ideal way to see some of mainland China if you are staying in HK.
