- Little visited by overseas travellers, Adelaide charms those visitors back with a relaxed and welcoming lifestyle and all the things that make life good: miles of beaches, some of the country's best food and wine, and natural attractions to indulge your senses. Join me for a taste as we head for the hills...

- We had less than 24 hours in Adelaide, but made the most of it. Our guide Dennis from C & D Transfers, knew exactly where to go and told us history and stories that made the City come to life.

- If you enjoy being close to wildlife, I highly recommend Cleland Wildlife Park outside of Adelaide, South Australia.

- I, for one, will not view the trains in the same way ever again, rolling across the “Outback” of southeast Australia aboard the Indian Pacific route, which stretches from the Indian Ocean to the Pacific – from Perth in the far west to Sydney.

- As part of our 6 weeks in Australia, we spent a week around Adelaide and Kangaroo Island. Adelaide is a great city for walking, and Kangaroo Island lived up to its billing as a top Australian destination for wildlife viewing.

- We were in a townhouse on the waterfront in quiet surrounds. The country towns and wineries are a treat.

- Even though I only stayed in Adelaide for 4 nights, I actually gathered a lot of information on the so-called "City of Churches," yet I wouldn't call myself an expert.

- Darwin is the place I was born. I love travelling back to Darwin. Yes, it is HOT, but it's beautiful. There are plenty of crocodile farms to visit and excellent fishing to catch barramundi. Closely linked with Darwin is Katherine Gorge. Ayers Rock (Uluru) and the Olgas (Kata Tjuta) are MUST-SEES.
