We were disappointed with our stay at Club Vacances Magog. We were there off-season, and there was not very much to do.

We spent 6 days exploring the area east and south of Montreal, near the Vermont border, in the glory of autumn. We enjoyed seeing historic buildings, especially churches. However, the scenery was also gorgeous.

A week in the Magog area could not have been more timely and enjoyable. The ideal weather -- below freezing and sunny -- provided best skiing conditions. Local cuisine made the evenings memorable.

We enjoyed our weeklong stay at Club Vacances Magog, located in the Eastern Townships, in Quebec, Canada. Our two-bedroom unit was exceptionally furnished and the fireplace was a real hit. It's very close to ski hills! We would go back.

The Eastern Townships are a great place for both kids and adults. There are a host of activities to keep everyone busy and interested in both winter and summer. Montreal is within an hour's drive for those who would like to enjoy the big city temptations.

For a New England scene with a French flavor, visit Quebec in the autumn.

We found great skiing on natural snow before Christmas.

When looking for places to go, we often focus on big cities: Montreal, New York, Paris, etc.. But , when we adventure ourselves to the outskirts of a city, we discover little treasures. The city of Magog, in Quebec's eastern townships is one of those hidden treasures..Let me introduce you.
