- I first saw Montreux while travelling with my parents in 1968, but I didn't discover it for myself until 1995, when I began making repeat visits. For me, it has the absolute best of scenery, serenity, and great food!

- I left Grindelwald and took the Golden Passline Swiss Train, which, by the way, is to die for! I was headed to Montreux, in the Lake Geneva Region. We passed the River Thun. Lake Simmen was virtually so clear that it looked like it was light blue, like the Caribbean around Antigua!

- The glorious Lake Geneva area offers a plethora of things to do, visit, and experience - no wonder so many celebrities live along the shores filled with vineyards and lots of sun.

- Montreux is one of those places that seem to hold a certain magic. It’s spectacularly located at the shores of Lake Geneva, bathed in afternoon sunshine streaming across the lake. Thanks to its mild microclimate, visitors can marvel at a wide variety of tropical plants lining the scenic lakeshore walk.

- Elegant and glamurous gem of lake Geneva. Not many places on earth offer such wonderfull landscapes. Squeezed between two ranges of Alps on the banks of beautifull Geneva lake, Montreux is true post card destination.

- Few places in Switzerland have as much to offer today’s visitor as Montreux. Some of Switzerland’s best railway journeys are on its doorstep, the surrounding country offers excellent walking, there is a wealth of museums, excellent food and local wines, and best-known castle – the Château de Chillon!
