No, not San Francisco, I'm talking about the Dallas suburb of Frisco, Texas. I was only in town for about 50 hours, but had a nice time. It whetted my appetite (literally) for yummy Tex-Mex next month when I go to San Antonio.

We took our first family "road trip" to the Hill Country for four nights of good old Texas fun. We visited Hyatt Hill Country in San Antonio and Barton Creek Resort in Austin with a stop in Fredericksburg along the way.

US Youth Soccer's Annual Adidas Workshop was held in Ft. Worth. While we didn't have time to explore the area, we did enjoy several restaurants near their convention center.

Austin is living proof that great things come in small packages. The downtown is a celebration of 19th century architecture and vibrant music clubs, catering to young and old alike. Austin is also home to some wonderful restaurants, and it wasn’t long before we became bona fide barbecue addicts.
