- Our stay in this heartland Heart City included an auto tour and nature hike at Fort Niobrara National Wildlife Refuge and the best steak we’d ever tasted at the Peppermill Steakhouse. In nearby Cody, we continued to perfect “the art of doing nothing”.

- We came to Chadron to see the Museum of the Fur Trade but found much more. The ponderosa pine forests of Pine Ridge in the Nebraska National Forest provided a serene camp setting. Another unexpected treasure-trove museum and some good places to eat rounded out our visit.

- Well, the trip to Omaha, NE wasn't the funnest trip by car, but when you got your family around you they can bring you much joy. There is so much farmland to look at and it's very wonderful, the place is full of life too.
