- Salisbury was a place we'd "popped into" several years ago. This weekend would give us time to re-visit the town and explore the cathedral in all its glory.

- The sheer scale of Salisbury cathedral makes it impossible to describe adequately in just a journal entry. I hope to address that here by giving the reader the "full photographic tour" in the same order as the guide books obtainable in the cathedral.

- There is an incredible amount of history in this area, from the prehistoric henges to Old Sarem to Salisbury Cathedral. Plenty to see and certainly not to be missed.
