- We'd never been to Big Bear Lake so we checked it out by staying a week at the predominately timeshare Lagonita Lodge.
** UPDATE!! ** We returned to Lagonita Lodge again in mid-August 2003 and found things to be pretty much the same as last year. See the new or updated entries for info on activities, dining, and Lagonita.

- Lagonita Lodge is the perfect spot for a weekend getaway if you live in southern California.

- We have lived for several years in Southern California but had never yet been to Big Bear Lake. This is the weekend that we finally were able to get up there.

- We found the perfect family getaway. Golden Bear Cottages in Big Bear Lake. This family-owned resort was the most friendly ever. The "country decor" in these historic cabins was beautiful. The 5-acre property was peaceful and the cleanliness was refreshing.

- In May 2004, we spent a week at the WorldMark Big Bear Resort. The scenery was spectacular, the weather was perfect, and we had a wonderful week.

- Our summer trip to the Worldmark Lodge in Big Bear, CA, was very enjoyable. Facilities are very well maintained inside and out.
