- I often visit Marseille, and I always get an impression that it is somehow different from all those times I have previously experienced. An essentially Mediterranean city with a distinct French character, it can offer a lot.

- Our next day's port was the bustling port of Marseille, which was a fifteen minute cab-ride from the old port in the center where the old town meets the new and where fish are pulled right out of the boats and onto the docks for sale.
