Travel makes you appreciate your own city more; Carlsbad's weather, beaches, attractions and proximity to other Southern California city highlights, make it a pleasant,lower-cost base for visiting San Diego via the Coaster,a commuter train that runs Monday through Saturday from nearby Oceanside to downtown San Diego. But in the past few years, especially with the addition of Legoland, the city has become a tourist attraction in its own right.
