- Wanting to stay locally for the Easter holiday, we chose to go to Connecticut due to driving time and chose to stay at Lighthouse Inn Resort in New London. The attractiveness of this historic mansion was a trade in for the poor weather conditions we experienced.

- This inn is a wonderful historic place, beautifully decorated, two great restaurants. The hospitality and graciousness of the entire staff was outstanding. From the first phone call to the final goodbye, we were made to feel especially welcome and cared for. An outstanding staff and a lovely spot!

- Wonderful old inn a block from Long Island Sound. Our accommodation was roomy with a view of the coach house and surrounding gardens. The cooking facilities are minimal and the complimentary continental breakfast wasn't complimentary. But all in all, it's a great place to visit.

- Visiting lighthouses along the coast is a pastime we both enjoy for a variety of reasons. This light is quite beautiful and mysterious and like most lighthouses is a landmark in New London, CT

- New London is about 30 miles outside of Hartford in the heard of New England. Th weather is cool and damp most of the year, with the most spectacular season being fall. The leaves become brilliant reds, oranges and yellows, looking sometimes like they are ablaze in the afternoon sun.
