- Desperately in need of a break, we headed for Hokkaido again; this time for some serious flower healing in Rebun and Rishiri, Furano and Biei.

- With no drivers license and limited time, we explored Hokkaido via the JR train. We took a domestic flight from Tokyo to Sapporo and travelled by train to Obhiro, Kushiro, Kawayu Onsen, and Kamikawa. From there we headed back to Sapporo, Otaru, and Hakodate, where we flew back to Tokyo.

- I followed a popular route around Hokkaido in early February, passing through the cities of Asahikawa, Abashiri, and Kushiro while including Daisetsuzan and Akan National Parks. The trip ended with three nights in Sapporo, coinciding with the start of the Sapporo Snow Festival.
