- The countryside surrounding Yangshuo, China, is regarded by the Chinese as "the most beautiful in the world". It is, quite simply, the image that comes to most people's minds when they envision a Chinese countryside, with the Li river snaking through the tall, distinctively-shapes mountains dotted with quaint fishing villages.

- China was fantastic, but an absolute culture shock. We spent two weeks in four different towns. The scenery was magical.

- This March, I spent a few more days than I intended in the wonderful town of Yangshuo. Although it really is a backpackers town, the absolutely gorgeous scenery, surrounding villages, and the people themselves make it very much a place to linger.

- In the limestone mountains of southern China there's a magical backpacker mecca called Yangshou. Famous for it's natural beauty and banana pancakes, Yangshou is the perfect place to chill out after a while on the road.
