- You can take a quick day trip to the South Island of New Zealand from Wellington and enjoy the great wine region known as Marlborough. A tour can be booked via the Interislander Ferry website, which includes a wine tour once on the South Island.

- After spending 3 months touring around Oz, I didn't feel that NZ would have much more to offer, so I was really surprised with Blenheim and its stunning scenery, not to mention great wineries!

- A must in New Zealand is walking one of its tracks, famous or not so famous. Being in New Zealand mainly for business, I did not have the three or four days to spend walking, but even with very little time, you can still walk.
