New Year's Hemingway Style in Berkeley Springs,

Chicken Cordon Bleu at The Country Inn, Berkeley Castle by candlelight and music, early to rise for breakfast, an exhilarating hike, a panoramic view with a bottle of champagne, a jog down an enchanted mountain trail, and a hot bath. Dinner was perfect, the castle delightful, our lodging cozy.

Spa Getaway Weekend in West Virginia

Berkeley Springs State Park is only a city block square. There's no camping, hiking, fishing, or whitewater. Outdoor recreation involves strolling on paths beneath large trees, sitting on benches, and watching the birds. Why bother to go? This tiny state park is a full-service spa.
