- Joshua Tree National Park is just two hours from nearly anywhere in Southern California and is the place to go if you're looking for a sublime experience.

- I often visit Joshua Tree in the winter but I'd always refused to go in the summer because of the heat. I was wrong. It's a great time to go if you stay in mid-day.

- Having been long time fan of country music artist Gram Parsons, I decided to visit one of the places that he frequented and the hotel room in which he died.

- Joshua Tree was breathtaking and totally serene - I have never felt at such peace with nature and the wonders of God. The vegetation and rock formations are unlike anything I have seen before.
