- Ojai is an oasis hidden away in a verdant valley, a mere hour and fifteen minutes from Los Angeles. We have enjoyed weekend escapes here with and without our children for the last 10 years, and each year, it keeps getting better.

- Art Detour is an extremely popular artist's studio tour in Ojai. You need a car as you pick up your map downtown and drive from place to place. Great fun.

- Ojai has open spaces and mountains with trails along citrus orchards, streams, pastures and along the Topa Topa Mountains. Hike to the punch bowls for swimming, shallow hot springs, or secluded camping. Combine this with quaint shops, spa treatments and healthy meals and you have a relaxing retreat

- Ojai is located 120 miles north of Los Angeles and 30 miles south of Santa Barbara. It's nestled in between large coastal mountains and is an east/west valley. We have a local lake and river with plenty of trees and mountains and trails for local hiking.

- The simple wonders of ojai must be experienced. From viewing the lush valley from meditation mount to strolling down the arcade walk in town to playing championship golf to luxuriating at a spa, ojai is a "must see" place to spend a few days.

- When I'm looking for a place to get away from it all and relax, this is one of my top choices. Near Los Angeles but a million miles away from the city you'll find all you need to forget your woes.
