A Few Hours in Geneva

Created by phileasfogg on July 6, 2009

  • According to the official Geneva Web site, the city’s home to over 200 international organisations. In about five hours, we saw a Russian Church and an English garden; dined at a café where we were served by an Indian, and went past another where Bill Clinton dined. Cosmopolitan? You bet.

Created by JayBroek on March 8, 2005

  • Frequent visits to the Pays de Gex and Geneva bring welcome interludes of big scenery. Long lunches in snow-bound mountain refuges, dizzying views, and a studied examination of the quality of vin chaud fill our days.

Created by Invicta73 on May 19, 2004

Geneve, Genf, Geneva - a polyglot city

Created by SaraP on May 6, 2003

  • Too often just a gateway to nearby ski resorts or Swiss business trip destination, Geneva, especially the lakeside, has much more to offer - Parisian-style streets with glorious architecture, magnificent views from the tower of a sparkling gothic cathedral, museums and galleries, top class restaurants and all kept spick and span.

Geneva on the Cheap - May 2009

Created by koshkha on May 5, 2009

  • My husband and I just spent a weekend staying with friends in Geneva, one of Europe's most expensive cities. We have a secret Credit Crunch weapon - my friend Pilar who knows a bargain when she sees one. We spent less than £80 between two of us.
