- There's much more to lovely St. Lucia than sun, sand, and sea. I went to visit a friend, but also wanted to visit the island. I was looking for a little adventure and a lot of fun off the beaten path, and this journal highlights the best parts of seeing St. Lucia, my way!

- Located in the West Indies, St. Lucia became a member of the Commonwealth in 1979 after a long history of rule under the French and Bristish. It is best known for the Pitons or twin mountain peaks rising sharply from the shoreline to form the Eastern Caribbeans most distinctive landmark.

- We wanted lots of activities, some extreme and some total relaxing. And most importantly we wanted the kind of romance and escape that takes your desire for each other to a totally different level. St. Lucia provided everything we were looking for.

- St. Lucia and Dominica are my choices in the Caribbean. True, there are many other beautiful destinations: Gaudeloupe, Jamaica, San Andrés, Nevis, Cayman Islands... but St. Lucia is really delightful.
