- When you head out of Fort Worth to the west, you soon realize that you are on rising land. In 30 minutes you come to Weatherford, a wonderful Texas town. Almost all directions are given relative to the location of the Courthouse. Find it and you have a sure way of finding your way around. Not to 'citified' as yet, Weatherford still has a small town feel.
