- Seychelles are the oldest islands on Earth, an isolated paradise with unique flora and fauna and unspoilt scenery. I spent 3 months working as a scientific survey diver on Mahe, the largest of the central granitic group of islands and home of the tiny capital Victoria.

- Praslin is the second largest of the Seychelles inner islands, a beautiful, serene isle fringed with white sandy beaches and turquoise waters. I came here for a vacation whilst working on neighbouring Mahe, and the atmosphere was extremely different, each of the islands having very distinct personalities.

- Praslin was where legendary British General Charles (Chinese) Gordon decided that he'd found the Biblical Garden of Eden. Once you've experienced this unusual tropical island, you will likely agree with the General.

- Sometimes I sit alone wondering where on earth I'd like to visit. Funny how most of the time I think back on my last trip to Praslin, the second largest island of the Seychelles archipelago. Clean air , friendly people..it's a great place to write a book!
