Joan of Arc sites are not the only attractions of Rouen. The capital of Normandy is a vibrant city of color and charm (Renaissance, Medieval, and modern), and it has an artistic and literary tradition.

We were drawn to Rouen for its famous tie to Joan of Arc. Once in this medieval town, we were fascinated with its numerous gothic churches, half-timber houses and reknown gastronomy.

Combine a famous Saint, a magnificent cathedral and half timber houses and you could be talking about Canterbury or in this case Rouen. Its a small but historically significant city.
