El Puerto de Santa Maria, one hour south of Sevilla in Spain's hottest region, Andalucia, is a vibrant little international town of 60,000 people. Its population trebles in summer as a result of its popularity. Puerto has lots of beaches, good food, great wine, fantastic nightlife, and lots of sunshine! Lying just north of the provinvial capital, Cadiz, and a few mile south of Jerez, Puerto makes for an interesting and worthwhile alternative, at least for a couple of days. And check out that Plaza de Toros!

A great place to enjoy sun, to eat seafood, to try watersports, to be familiar with south of Spain,...
City of Cádiz is just two steps away, so it is Jerez de La Frontera and Sanlucar de Barrameda.
