Created by grimmts on November 2, 2002

  • First of all, it's prounounced "de Shay". The name is derived from a Spanish word for canyon. There are actually two canyons at Canyon de Chelly....Canyon de Chelly and Canyon del Muerto. Both are stunning. Red rock, towering cliffs, Indian ruins and petroglyphs.
