- Hot Topic is so cool that they invited our whole family down to Pasadena for dinner. It was a quick weekend, but it gave us a taste of things to come.

- If you've never seen the Tournament of Roses Parade from your own reserved seats, you've missed it as it truly is. Few people seem to know that packages abound of accommodations, seats on the parade route, and bus transportation between your hotel and the parade route (worst traffic that day.)

- Huntington Gardens and Library is an amazing place with a great value for the price. A visit to the Huntington Gardens can include a walk in a Japanese Garden, tea in a Rose Garden, or seeing manuscripts from the 14th century or visit any of the art galleries.
