The four-hundred-mile border between Poland and Slovakia is characterized by mountainous landscape ideal for hiking. On the extreme southernmost edge of Poland is Zakopane, an excellent starting base for trekking in the Tatrzanski Park Naradowy. South of the Slovakian Tatras, the region is dotted with small picturesque towns awaiting discovery.
