- Eau Claire, a city of only 50,000 people (10,000 which are students), thrives due to its university life, diverse restaurants, nightlife, arts, and outdoor activities. It is located in western Wisconsin, approximately an hour and a half east of the Twin Cities of Minnesota. Yet, it is a Wisconsin city that is often overlooked!
I lived in Eau Claire for four and a half years as a college student. Therefore, I had an ample amount of time to explore the wonders of this city... I miss it a lot and go back often!
