We discovered a back road in Murren that led to a life called Allmendhubel. It only costs 3 SFr and takes you high above Murren from which many trails lead across incredibly beautiful scenery with the Jungfrau range constantly in front of you.

Last day in the Berner Oberland, I had to get up to Murren, Gimmelwald, and the Trullebach Falls. I took the cable cars all the way up and hiked down. Ending my walk at Trummelbach Falls. All I can say is "Breathtaking Views."

Summer or winter, Murren is wonderful!

The views from Murren are truly fantastic. You feel that you can reach out and touch the mountains. Murren is the village where downhill skiing was started- and by an Englishman at that! The village itself is long and cut off in the winter. There are some lovely restaurants.

This is about a beautiful, car-free alpine village in the Bernese Oberland set on a natural terrace with views to famous Eiger, Moench, and Jungfrau. There are very good hiking trails in summer and a good amount of skiing and snowboarding slopes for the wintertime

This was by far the most rewarding holiday we have ever had. The hotel, the region, the hospitality were second to none.

What a place. The natural beauty of this quaint little village is truly amazing. There are no private cars in the city, providing a pure, quiet experience. Wonderful sking is available if you desire. My wife and I preferred to sip wine and enjoy the simple life.

When you think of mountains in Switzerland, do you think of Zermatt/Matterhorn?Think again. Stay up in the mountains in Murren with panaromic views of the Jungfrau, the Monch, and the Eiger. High peaks, dropoffs to sheer valleys, hiking trails, and more await in car-free Murren, alpine living at its finest!

When reality exceeds imagination, it is glorious...and glorious is the Swiss Alps, and particularly, the tiny village of Murren.
