- There are a tremendous amount of interesting things to do on Catalina Island--swimming, sailing, a boat cruise to see the seals or watch for whales( season dependant), submarine rides, and you can finsh any event with a meal in a great restaurant.

- My husband surprised me with a two-night stay in Avalon on Catalina Island to celebrate my birthday. After the torrential rains in Los Angeles, we enjoyed a relaxing getaway on an island locale.

- The Inn on Mt. Ada is the former home of the Wrigley's. The owners of the Chicago Cubs. The inn was named after his wife - Ada. It has become one of the loveliest B & B's around.

- I love Catalina Island and Avalon is the main hub of the place. There is more here than meets the eye, under the water, up in the hills, its just a wonderful place!

- I go every year to the Inn at Mt. Ada, in Avalon, there they throw a Christmas Party, on: Monday's, in the First Week of December, there you can sing Christmas Carols with the people who gather there for the party, you can enter raffles to win prices.
