This was another shopping excursion day trip to Monroe. Past faves including Decatur Dairy and Minhas Brewery & Distillery were on the itinerary. I also found a new cheese factory, bought some apples and enjoyed lunch downtown. The full round trip encompassed 275 miles and 10 hours.

A very long day trip (435 miles and 17 hours) to Green County to take in a sampling of some of what they are known for . . . barn quilts, beer and ballooning.

Every even numbered year, the third weekend in September, over 100,000 people come to a small, Swiss cultured village of Monroe, in south central Wisconsin. The celebration of Swiss heritage and culture is centered around the main agricultural product of Green County, cheese.
