There are numerous recreational opportunities nearby, including Branson, world headquarters of Bass Pro Shops, and several nearby lakes. Springfield has numerous restaurants and dining opportunities.

- Little Switzerland is what they call this. It is a very cute little town with shops and restaurants on every street.

- While in Springfield, we went to Lambert's Cafe, the best eatery in the US. For $10 a person, you can choose any meal and eat all you want, and have hot rolls thrown to you throughout the dinner.
