- For the 3rd year in a row, my husband and I have travelled with friends to Moorea for their annual inline skating marathon! The Tahitians have taken to this sport like mad; what a great way to connect with them and with friends, and with this beautiful island.

- Our honeymoon trip to Tahiti and Moorea May 2007. We flew on Tahiti Air NUI. 8 hour flight. We stayed at Sheraton Tahiti which overlooked a lagoon. We then headed to Moorea where our Overwater Bungalow awaited us. We stayed at the Sheraton Moorea for 4 days.

- I had the privilege of visiting this paradise, thanks to an airline mileage program (Lan Chile) that took me there. It is the most beautiful place I visited in my lifetime. I visited Tahiti, Moorea, Raiatea, Huahine, Taha and Bora Bora, these last four islands on the ferry.

- Moorea has one of the most dramatic tropical landscapes, and it is only a 15-minute flight (40-minute boat ride) from Papeete. The beaches are serene (protected by an outer reef), with inner currents that will have you gliding parallel to the shoreline in water so clear, you'll be surprised to taste salt!

- Having had a life-long obsession with the South Pacific, I was thrilled to finally have the chance to visit Moorea this year. It completely lived up to my expectations. The water, the mountains, the flora – all exactly as I expected it!
