- Byron Bay is located right on Australia's most eastern point, Cape Byron. It's located in a nice surrounding and there's plenty of nightlife, as in most Australian beach towns.

- After traveling around Melbourne and Sydney, I thought it was time to find a beach with golden sands and beautiful clear waters for some much-needed relaxation. Byron Bay fulfilled this and more and was a darn sight better than Bondi.

- A few days relaxing in this 1960's suurfing mecca is a must for anyone. The atmosphere of the place is unlike anywhere else on earth.

- Byron Bay is about a 2 hours drive South of Gold Coast. Just the drive, I thought, was
worth it, watching the sugar cane fields and passing through small villages. When we got to Byron Bay I knew we had found a paradise.

- This was a last minute addition to our drive up the coast of Queensland because it was highly recommended by a friend. It ended up being a highlight of our trip, and one of the most relaxing places we had ever been.
