- Fredericksburg, VA, is a historical gem, great for antique shopping, fine dining, theatre, Civil War buffs, and much more. While I've written about the destinations I've been to for a day or two, I've never written about the town where I spend most of my days.

- Day (evening) trip to Fredericksburg, VA, to dine and listen to the music at the newly opened Fredericksburg Cheeseburger in Paradise. As the menu says, "Heaven on Earth With an Onion Slice."

- I've been to the Presidential Resort at Chacellorville a few times. It's great for a family with kids because there are a lot of activities. Also it's great for civil war buffs.
