Lake Chelan is one of Washington's primary tourist playgrounds with two distinct aspects: the bikini/waterski resorts downlake and the remote, majestic alpine penetration uplake. The deep, 55 mile long lake is a bridge to deep, pristine wilderness.

Lake Chelan is a great summer vacation. There is a lot for anyone to do. We go every year and love it. It is a great combination of warmth, water, and activities.

A super place to visit in the "off-season" and fun in the summer when everything is hopping with activities.

This is a recap of the best vacation my family and I have taken--ever. Admittedly we haven't vacationed a lot, but this trip convinced us to go a lot more!

June in Chelan is gorgoeus! The lake is really never crowded, as it is so long. My place is right on the lake, so I have my choice of swimming in either the lake or the pool. Wapato Point has so much to offer . . .

For a peaceful, romantic getaway, we enjoyed the serenity of the area and took a day-long boat trip to Stehekin.

Even in an "in between season" like early spring there is lots to do in Lake Chelan. Most importantly, we really relaxed and just enjoyed getting out of town.

Wapato Point reminded us of lakes in the Swiss Alps. There are spacious rooms, and the second bedroom had an accordian divider for a door. All rooms had patios with a BBQ and fireplaces with wood. A wide variety of exercise opportunities with wonderful facilities were available. We recommend taking the boat trip from Chelan to Stehekin in North Cascades, NP.
