Best of IgoUgo
A small beach community that appears out of nowhere completely surrounded by mountains, the people the food and the shopping are great.....more so the people. This isdefinately a beach community, so sightseeing wise there really is not too much, but if you are into water sports and the sun the place to be. There is also a night market, just like there is in almost all Thailand cities...many things to see and by varying from cheap knock-offs to tailor-made clothing. Some of the vendors can be very pushy, so do not let them intimidate, if there is something that you like always negotiate and get a price that you are comfortable with. So all in all the daytime is geared towards the sun and outdoor activities, and the night is for shopping the discos, and a lot of tiny cafes. Definately seems like a very eclectic mix of people from all over the world, and seems to be geared towards the young and trendy...so make sure you pack the leather pants and a sporty shirt......

Impolite hotel staff. Smelly rooms. Lots of mosquitoes and bugs. Poor room service. No respect for guests' right to charging information.

My fiance and I decided we needed a change. We wanted to try something new, we decided to teach English. There are many places any native English speaker can go to teach with or without certification but we decided to get certified first in Phuket, Thailand.
