Pucón is a small mountain village situated at the border of the lake Villarica, with a beautiful volcano crowning the typical landscape of the south of Chile: green trees, snowed mountains, crystalline waters, fresh air, and the smell of all that mixed with the smell of the chimneys and homemade food.

Pucón is beautiful, its climate is ideal, its scenery just magnificent. You can sunbathe on the very nice beach in front of the lake, or climb volcano Villarica. You can also fish trout, or visit the Huerquehue National Park. It has everything you need to really enjoy your stay.

Pucon postcards paint the picture of a beautiful mountain town situated at the bottom of Volcan Villarica, surrounded by the nearby National Park Villarica. What the postcards don't show are all the cheesy tourist things that go along with this town.

If you've ever seen borchures for family getaways with shots of lakeside properties with fun-loving adults jetskiing and children playing on the beach while everything is overshadowed by a beautiful distant mountain range, it was probably not filmed in Pucon (but it would have looked more enticing if it was).
