Mole National Park is one of the few places in Ghana where you are certain to see large game. It's also a relaxing place to spend a few days, and the nearby town of Larabanga is a fascinating example of north African culture.

Kumasi, the traditional capital of the Asante people, is one of the most vibrant cities in West Africa, and is chock full of fascinating people, sights, and sounds. It's also the best place to buy traditional Asante handicrafts such as kente, adinkra, etc.

Hohoe, a city of about 30,000, in Ghana's Ewe-speaking Volta Region is about 100km north of the regional capital, Ho. Villages that have developed ecotourism ventures that allow visitors to explore the unique landscapes, cultures, and wildlife of the region surround it.

Ghana's gold coast has much to offer the visitor, though those offerings don't automatically guarantee care-free fun. A mix of images for the senses that will evoke a wide array of emotions, Ghana's southern coastal region, Cape Coast in particular, is not to be passed by.

Accra is a great place if you want to visit Africa's west coast. The capital has some beautiful beaches in the city and within a short drive, which makes it a beach lover's paradise.

I've been going to Ghana now for the 4 years and still love the place. I try to travel to various different places while there and like the bush hotels as well as the city, although I always book in somewhere a bit posh two days before coming home.
