Huntsville is not your typical Southern city, despite being in a major agricultural county. Huntsville is home to a significant part of the nation’s space industry and boasts both cultural and natural points of interest.

Exploring the Huntsville Space and Rocket Center can be a wonderful learning experience, but we came away with less than we had hoped for. There are real hazards that can lessen your enjoyment of the center. If we had only known. . .please don't make the same mistakes we did.

Huntsville and surrounding cities. Good food, fishing, hiking, Marshall Space Flight Center, and other interesting things. Prices are quite reasonable, no crowds, and a an airport which is quite efficient. A good place to get away on a relaxing inexpensive vacation.

Huntsville, Alabama is known as the space capital of the universe but it is much more than the home of the nation's top rocket scientists. Huntsville's history dates back to the early 1800's and there are many places where this history is relived.

Huntsville may be the home of the Internationally reknowned Space Camp, but it's much more than just that. Nestled the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, it calls itself home to an active arts community, outdoor sports scene, and some great Southern hospitality.
