- We like Punta Cana for its beautiful beaches. This vacation was spent at the new all-inclusive Riu Palace.

- Initially, there were recommendations to hurry-up and experience this sleepy fishing village before it joined the 21st century. Now, 5 years later, you're too late!

- Haphazardly poised on southern shores of Samaná Bay, Miches is a dusty little town without cause, except for the entertaining adventures along the long road there.

Here's to celebrating, Dominican-style... especially when there's no looking back.
