We moved to Santa Fe in January 2010 (from California) after my retirement. Though it was not our first time in the area, it was our first visit to Taos. It was a last minute trip, without agenda, and purely for relaxation.

I thought I was a decent skier until I tried this mountain! Steep elevations and narrow trails. Not for the novice! This was my family's first time; we'll go back, but we'll be better prepared. They weren't kidding when they said that if you can ski Taos, you can ski anywhere!

I have stayed in several places in Taos over the years. I found the best place by far: Very nice owners, with accommodations that exceed any place else by far for the money.
