I spent a week in Kobe at a scientific conference. It was really a fun lively city, with an amazing number of small restaurants to sample in the evening. During conference breaks or evenings, we were able to see some of Kobe's tourist sites.

I went to visit my girlfriend in Japan for a little over 2 weeks. Mainly, we stayed in Akashi, which is right outside of Kobe, and did a lot of shopping.
