- Milan, Ferrara, Venice, Verona, Lake Garda, and Bergamo are all easily reached by train. We stayed in budget hotels always close to the railway station.
You will find detailed information how to get to the hotel in each separate accommodation entry.

- These lovely cities are both worth a visit, but really, if Verona is a bride, Vicenza is a bridesmaid.

- Verona is a gourmand’s delight. Near wineries and farms, Verona’s bounty overflows. The cuisine of the Veneto and the city itself should be savored. At the junction of mountains and plains, Verona is a meeting place for different regions' foods. And you’ll never lack for a caffe or trattoria nearby!

- Verona is a small city that was once a major Roman and Medieval metropolis. I lived here for over a month while learning Italian and fell head over heels for this city of lovers.

- Traveling back to Switzerland from Venice, we decided to spend a few hours in Verona. Unfortunately, nothing stands up against Venice in terms of charm, so we were left a little bit wanting...

- A beautiful town in Italy! There is a Roman amphiteather, a stretch of shopping areas, a river, and historical monuments aplenty in Verona. Of course, this was the place where Romeo and Juliet was conceived!

- Verona is one of the most fascinating cities in Italy. Ancient buildings, picturesque squares and the most famous love story of all times make Verona “a must” on your Italian list. Its ancient center contains many magnificent Roman ruins (second only to those of Rome).
