- Deciding to enjoy our Memorial Day holiday, my friend Karen and I decided to venture to Old Salem, located in Winston-Salem NC. This historical village offers a history lesson come to life for those who visit.

- I lived in Winston-Salem for 4 years and toured many places around this small Southern town, the most memorable being Old Salem, a historic Monrovian village of 200 years.

- Winston-Salem is a growing city right in the center of North Carolina. It's a couple hours' drive to the mountains and about 4 hours' to drive to the beach.
