Being a small city situated in the heart of Canada's breadbasket, many from outside the province of Saskatchewan assume there are no great dining or shopping opportunities in Regina, the Queen City. How wrong they are!

Regina, latin for queen, was named after Queen Victoria. The capital of the province of Saskatchewan, the city of 200,000 has a lot to offer to people of all ages and interests.

Regina is named after Queen Victoria, "regina" being the Latin for "queen". Being located in the heart of the Great Canadian Plains, it has become known as the Queen City of the Plains. Though underestimated because of its location and size, Regina has much to offer.
