- Macon is a city through which we travel many times, but seldom stop. We decided to meet our son there and to view the Cherry Blossom Festival, which was in progress from March 16-25. We had a most pleasant experience on a cool, overcast Saturday afternoon.

- Fortunately Macon survived the ravages of Sherman's muderous march to the sea. This small city still struggles with the ravages of modern industrialization, but her charm still manages to peek through.
