85 temples, all exquisitely carved, were built in Khajuraho (‘orchard of dates’) between 950 AD and 1050 AD. Today, only 25 temples remain, but it’s worth travelling even half the world to have a peek at them. You won’t see carving like this anywhere else.

Khajuraho known as the city of temples ranks close to Dehli, Jaipur and Agra as one of the big tourist destination. It took us a whole day just to see some of the 22 actual temples. They were originally 85 built.
