- Corfu is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country. Corfu has something for every taste. A vibrant, hectic night scene for the young, phenomenal flora for the nature lover, fascinating beaches, quiet villages away from the tourist scene, history, you name it: it’s there.

- Years ago Mum and Dad hitchhiked around Europe and discovered Corfu. They fell in love with the place, and dreamed of being able to live there. Nearly 30 years later (2002), Dad revisited and found a derelict villa, and so their dream came true, and so begin my tales from Corfu!

- I have been to Corfu on two summer holiday trips and both times it enchanted me! They say if you've ever been to Corfu, you'll be back for sure!

- Corfu is home to the courageous Achilles, a strong warrior whose weakness (his heel) took him out. A visit to the Achillean Palace is a must. Corfu is the greenest of the Greek Islands, including about 2 million olive trees. Corfu was ruled by Venetians for 400 years.

- Kontogyalos is one of the postcard beaches of western Corfu. Access is hindered by lack of public transport and the fact the road comes down the steep side of a mountain, but the view from the top and the beauty of the beach more than compensate for the effort.

- Ipsos is a resort for the young and those feeling young. If Kavos is a bit too much for you, then Ipsos is probably level two of the type of entertainment not endorsed by a quality guidebook but loved so much by the young and wild folk.
