- My previous taste of Mexico had taken me around the Distrito Federal and the periphery of the city itself. Baja on the other hand, would prove to be a horse of quite a different color. Common to both was abject poverty and unabashed luxury, side by side.

- True fisherman must visit Los Barriles, a small Mexican village at the edge of the Sea of Cortez. The village is home to Palmas de Cortez, a resort known for premier big-game fishing . Visit for great fishing, great service, tropical gardens and spectacular seaside views.

- This journal is about my scuba diving experiences in Baja California. My husband is a NAUI SCUBA Instructor and I am an assistant instructor. We've made many trips to this area, sometimes with students and sometimes alone. A pristine area, unfortunately becoming more crowded each day.

- Just south of Calafia and north of Puerto Vallarta, Las Gaviotas is a great place to stay for a weekend trip to Baja.

- Rosarito is a frequent stop for Mexican Riviera cruises. Those who only give it a few hours only see the endless shops of cheap wares and taco stands.

- Cabo San Lucas, with a average of 350 sunny days a year, an average temperature in the low eighties, and water sports everywhere. Cabo is the place to eat, drink, and party !
