Here, on the banks of the Dnieper, Prince Vladimir baptized Rus in 988. Few cities in the world dropped out to play the same role in history, as Kiev. The Kiev`s princes have established a good half of Russian cities, including Moscow.

Kiev nightlife page that I found. Very extensive and kind of funny and opinionated. I think Kiev has best nightclubs in Ukraine but Odessa is better in summer.

Ukraine became a place that is very easy to visit. Actually, you won't need visa and infrastructure has been improved. It is good idea to visit the Slavic cradle and discover Ukrainian hospitality.

Avoid this hotel and take a taxi to the center; I had 1,000 UAH (more than $200 USD) stolen from my room during breakfast there. Service is still from Communist times, so plan on half an hour for check-in!
